Key Responsibilities

  • •Analyse, conceptualise, and visualise water quality data; clearly communicate insights.
  • •Carry out desk-based investigations and interpret datasets.
  • •Help design field monitoring campaigns using traditional and non-traditional approaches.
  • •Deliver technical reports and presentations to clients.
  • •Win new work by writing proposals for new projects; manage projects and tasks and contribute to the Sustainable Water Management water quality team.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree-level qualifications in a relevant subject (e.g., geography, geology, geochemistry, earth/environmental science, civil engineering or similar).
  • •A higher degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., river/lake water quality, water chemistry, hydrogeochemistry, water management, environmental science) is desirable but not essential.
  • •Excellent analytical skills with strong ability to apply them to novel problem solving.
  • •Experience using MS Office tools (Word, Teams, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and GIS packages such as ArcGIS or QGIS.
  • •Clear communication skills, including writing and communicating ideas through visualisations; ability to collaborate effectively and work independently with some steer.
