Job Summary

Provide building-materials product knowledge and take customer orders at the counter and by phone. Build customer relationships, enter and complete sales orders in the company computer system, and support cash sales. Continuously develop product knowledge to assist purchases, and collaborate with Outside Sales Reps and Sales Managers on sales approaches, handling objections while emphasizing product and service features.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide product knowledge on building materials for the drywall industry, including items such as drywall, insulation, metal studs, ceiling systems, stucco, tools, safety items, and drywall compound.
•Take customer orders at the sales counter and over the phone and build relationships with customers.
•Enter orders and complete sales orders in the company computer system; tender cash sales.
•Develop and maintain product knowledge to support customer purchases.
•Collaborate with Outside Sales Reps and Sales Managers to determine strategic sales approaches and overcome customer objections.
