Key Responsibilities

  • •Architect, design, integrate, and commission control systems for Starship launch pads, including I/O, motion systems, drive controls, and supporting infrastructure.
  • •Design industrial electrical control panels compliant with NFPA 79/NEC/UL 508A and create electrical schematics and electrical conveyance/distribution designs.
  • •Architect, write, debug, and maintain PLC code for reusable, well-documented control applications.
  • •Configure, commission, and tune VFDs and set up/tune PID controllers for open- and closed-loop control systems, including device commissioning via industrial protocols.
  • •Manage electrical cabinet builds, field wiring, conveyance installs, add electrical assembly detail to CAD models, and document control systems for pad operator handoff.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
  • •1+ years of experience designing and commissioning industrial control systems (internship experience qualifies).
  • •Ability to architect and develop electrical control systems, including schematics and data acquisition.
  • •Experience with hazardous-area instrumentation/control systems in accordance with relevant NFPA/NEC/UL codes.
  • •Willingness to work extended hours/weekends and travel for system activation.
