Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide specialist legal leadership for construction, infrastructure, development, procurement, and project delivery matters.
  • •Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on high-value construction contracts and agreements across the project lifecycle.
  • •Advise project teams and business stakeholders on contractual risk allocation, procurement strategies, commercial risk management, and dispute avoidance.
  • •Provide legal guidance on construction claims, delays, variations, defects, contractor performance, insolvency, termination, and settlement negotiations.
  • •Manage relationships with external counsel and other project stakeholders, advise on FIDIC/international contract forms, and mentor junior legal professionals.

Key Requirements

  • •Qualified lawyer in a recognized common law jurisdiction with specialist construction law expertise.
  • •Minimum 10 years (PQE) post-qualification experience, including at least 6 years specialized construction law experience.
  • •Strong experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating construction contracts (EPC, consultancy, procurement, development, infrastructure).
  • •Demonstrated expertise in FIDIC and other international standard forms, including claims management and dispute avoidance.
  • •Proven experience advising on construction claims, delays, variations, defects, termination matters, and contractual risk management.
