Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and hands-on build AI solutions for engineering operational processes, including engineering planning and scheduling, NPI/PROLaunch execution support, and DFMEA/PFMEA consistency checks.
  • •Implement AI workflows using Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, and Eaton-approved AI frameworks.
  • •Develop end-to-end AI solutions (prompt logic, AI agent workflows, data preparation/retrieval, orchestration, error handling) and integrate into Microsoft Teams/SharePoint or existing engineering tools.
  • •Partner with IT to meet security/identity requirements, logging/auditability standards, and Eaton AI guardrails and deployment practices.
  • •Pilot AI tools with engineering users, gather feedback, iterate for usability/reliability/value, and support documentation, demos, and user enablement.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • •4-7 years of experience in software development, automation, or digital solution engineering.
  • •Hands-on experience with Python and building/deploying APIs and cloud-based services in an Azure environment (preferred).
  • •Demonstrated ability to build and deploy working solutions, not just proofs of concept.
  • •Preferred: experience in an engineering, industrial, or manufacturing environment and familiarity with engineering workflows (e.g., NPI, project management, quality, documentation).
