Job Summary

Develop and integrate real-time sensor software for autonomous vehicles across land, air, sea, and space. You’ll design and rapidly deploy AI/ML perception algorithms, create sensor interfacing/control software, and fuse data from modalities like EO, IR, acoustics, radar, and RF. Work with sensor, tracking, and autonomy teams to support on-site DoD testing, deploy containerized solutions to embedded Linux, and use simulation tooling to analyze and improve integration based on field feedback.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop, integrate, and adapt AI/ML algorithms for the perception autonomy stack to collect information across platform sensor suites.
•Create software to autonomously control sensors (EO, IR, acoustics, radar, RF) and optimally fuse information between sensor systems.
•Deploy containerized solutions to embedded Linux devices, using computer-in-the-loop testing, profiling, and performance data collection.
•Collaborate with sensor, tracking, and autonomy teams to deploy heterogeneous platform swarms for on-site DoD testing and demonstrations.
•Interact with DoD customers to understand use cases and triage needs during field events, and drive simulation playback and integration improvement plans based on results and feedback.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotic Engineering, Computer Science, Optimization, or equivalent OR 5+ years working with sensor algorithms, hardware, and HIL software integration.
•Experience with multiple sensor modalities (e.g., EO, IR, lidar, radar, sonar, acoustics) with core understanding of sensor physics and control parameters.
•Experience training and deploying ML algorithms (Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow) onto integrated systems (ONNX, C++ models).
•Familiarity with tracking basics (e.g., Kalman filters) and optimal sensor fusion.
•Experience working comfortably in Linux and Docker.
