Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and implement perception systems to enable new product capabilities by leveraging existing model heads and solving new perception tasks.
  • •Design data strategy for new deployments, including what data to collect, how much, and how to label it for production-ready models.
  • •Make build-vs-reuse tradeoffs when standing up new product lines, defining output types, KPIs, and collaboration points with core teams.
  • •Triage model and system issues in the field (timestamps, data quality, calibration) and decide whether to resolve directly or work with core platform to fix upstream.
  • •Collaborate daily with core autonomy platform, customer engineering, and BD to help stand up new product lines and develop existing ones.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong systems-level understanding of perception, and ideally planning/controls, to reason about the full stack.
  • •Experience diagnosing real-world model failures in deployed systems and driving them to resolution through hands-on work or cross-team negotiation.
  • •Comfort translating ambiguous, evolving customer requirements into technical specifications and KPIs.
  • •A product-owner mindset focused on customer success and problem ownership.
  • •Familiarity with PyTorch, ONNX, TensorRT, Docker, Python, and some C++.
