Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure construction installation contractors conform to South32 design expectations and provide assurance across construction and installation activities.
  • •Interface with and manage multiple contractors and subcontractors across planning, scheduling, reporting, health, safety, security, environmental compliance, quality, and community relations.
  • •Establish and execute the construction engineering program and ensure effective communication and tracking of needs, requirements, and issues.
  • •Manage the construction engineering department, including staffing supervision, guidance, and training/development of personnel.
  • •Support project delivery by reviewing schedules, coordinating risk assessments and vendor/contractor work inputs, assisting budgets and contractor progress/cost reports, and ensuring compliance with change management and regulatory/building code requirements.
