Job Summary

Design and deliver the next line of climate products by collaborating with cross-functional teams worldwide. Own project requirements, milestones, and quality/delivery/cost targets while solving technical problems through concept and critical design reviews. Develop component concepts and specifications, support DFMEA and test plan creation, coordinate design changes, and produce/release engineering documentation using PLM/PDM tools such as ProE and Windchill.

•Understand project requirements and collaborate with project owners, leaders, and global cross-functional teams using standard processes and project management principles.
•Ensure milestone/deliverable completion within quality, delivery, and cost targets; demonstrate proficiency in project management.
•Solve technical problems through concept reviews, critical design reviews, and technical discussions while managing multiple projects.
•Develop concepts and design/select components with suppliers, including component specifications for structural components and assemblies plus DFMEA and test plan development.
•Create and release engineering documentation (design, drawings, bill of materials, specifications) using PLM/PDM tools like ProE and Windchill; coordinate and implement design changes and lifecycle engineering fixes.

Key Requirements

•Master’s in mechanical engineering (BE degree) or related specialization.
•5+ years of experience in component selection, system integration, concept development, design calculations, and lifecycle engineering in the relevant domain.
•Experience with product design and development phases, including hands-on DFMEA and test plan development, with exposure to prototypes/engineering builds and testing.
•Knowledge of metal and non-metal component design, assemblies, and manufacturing processes; basics of electrical systems/components are a plus.
•Ability to understand material properties for material selection and to drive root-cause problem solving using problem-solving tools.
