Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage and grow the planning consents service, providing line management and mentorship to junior team members.
  • •Lead major development applications, including the Development Consent Order (DCO) process, and provide strategic planning advice to clients and internal teams.
  • •Ensure projects are delivered successfully on budget and within programme timelines.
  • •Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to support seamless project execution.
  • •Oversee deliverables for quality assurance and health & safety, and contribute to business development including tender preparation and client relationship nurturing.

Key Requirements

  • •Significant relevant experience leading planning consent applications for large infrastructure projects across a range of consenting regimes.
  • •Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
  • •Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or an equivalent professional body.
  • •Client and stakeholder experience with existing relationships with clients and local authorities.
  • •Expert witness experience would be advantageous.
