Key Responsibilities

  • •Analyze structural engineering data from other groups to verify FAA and aircraft manufacturer acceptance as approved data.
  • •Develop finite element models to aid design and certification data.
  • •Generate stress analysis notes and substantiation records for seating component modifications.
  • •Create and develop structural substantiation reports to substantiate design changes.
  • •Create, develop, and implement test procedures to obtain certifiable data for company use.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 140,296 - 164,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Aerospace, Automobile, Civil Engineering or related field with 5 years of progressive Structural/FEA experience, or Master’s degree with 3 years of related experience.
  • •At least 3 years of experience translating real problems into Finite Element Analysis (FEA) models, interpreting results, and selecting optimal solutions.
  • •At least 3 years of experience identifying opportunities to reduce testing and certification costs via FEA analysis.
  • •Demonstrable experience with CAE software including HyperMesh/LS-DYNA and HyperView/LS-PREPOST.
  • •Experience with virtual anthropomorphic dummy (vATD) injury simulation and LS-DYNA-based impact analysis.
