Job Summary

Provide strategic leadership for health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs across a Princeton, NJ perfumery site. Lead and continually improve the site HSE management system to ensure compliance with ISO standards and applicable regulations, manage risk through audits and risk-based programs, and drive an HSE continuous improvement roadmap using performance data. Oversee incident investigation with root-cause learning and support internal and third-party certification readiness.

Key Responsibilities

•Serve as a trusted HSE business partner, protecting people, environment, and assets while strengthening the site HSE culture.
•Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the site Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System for regulatory and ISO compliance.
•Identify, assess, and mitigate key risks by applying risk management practices and maintaining a risk-based HSE audit program.
•Develop and execute the HSE continuous improvement roadmap, aligning local priorities with global HSE strategies and providing actionable recommendations from performance data.
•Support injury/incident investigations by ensuring root causes are identified and lessons learned are integrated into prevention programs and management systems; lead internal HSE audits and maintain ISO 14001/ISO 45001 certifications.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 142,000 - 150,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or related field, with 5-10 years of HSE experience in a manufacturing environment; professional certifications such as ASP, CSP, or CHMM are preferred.
•Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and experience working with regulatory agencies, including root cause analysis, incident investigation, and risk assessment methodologies.
•Excellent communication and influencing skills to explain complex HSE concepts and engage stakeholders at all levels.
•Working knowledge of HSE management systems and standards, including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, with experience supporting compliance and continuous improvement.
•Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ability to leverage data for performance improvements and decision-making.
