Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide proactive leadership for the structural engineering discipline to ensure project and work site deliverables meet quality and safety standards.
  • •Manage and execute structural and civil engineering work for bridge/transportation projects from concept through final design, procurement, construction, and operation.
  • •Plan, organize, and supervise engineering activities; serve as a lead liaison to federal, state, and local agencies, clients, and subcontractors.
  • •Develop construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates, including safety and phasing plans and coordination with owners and other disciplines.
  • •Lead larger-scale projects by overseeing budgets, tracking hours/expenses, supervising subcontractors and employees, and ensuring project objectives and QA/QC.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (or closely related).
  • •12+ years of relevant post-education experience in structural design with an emphasis on bridges.
  • •Experience with Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) and other Nevada agencies (RTCs, Counties, and Cities).
  • •Professional Engineer license required and strong structural engineering knowledge (including seismic modeling, design, codes, and compliance practices).
  • •Advanced technical writing and proficiency with bridge-focused structural design software (e.g., MicroStation, InRoads, AASHTOWare).
