Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure integrity of Gross Profit data within TheMIS and deliver accurate management information for EMEA.
  • •Provide technical accounting and reporting support across Management and Financial Accounting.
  • •Act as an SME for Treasury and Front Office P&L reporting, investigating and resolving reconciliation breaks with clear root cause analysis.
  • •Own preparation and maintenance of monthly TheMIS data, including updates, consistency checks, and reconciliations across EMEA booking locations.
  • •Perform TheMIS P&L analysis versus Oracle GL and other source systems to ensure completeness and accuracy, and support EMEA ALCO and Head Office reporting submissions.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum Qualified Accountant (or near qualified).
  • •Banking experience with exposure to investment banking products.
  • •Strong numerical and financial skills, including ability to interpret financial information and design/use financial models.
  • •Understanding of IFRS and JGAAP and ability to interpret impacts on SMFG group entities.
  • •Strong experience with data tools such as Excel and Access (including AI tools) and ability to work with large datasets.
