Job Summary

Drive NPI mechanical assembly readiness by performing detailed DFA analysis, developing manufacturing specifications with CEM, and leading mechanical assembly process, fixture, and automation development. Own assembly fixture/jig development, coordinate project schedules and performance requirements, and manage NPI assembly issues through root-cause analysis and corrective actions. Support system assembly automation through time-and-motion studies, cycle-time reduction, tolerance evaluation, and cost-optimization proposals.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop manufacturing (DFA) maturity by performing detailed DFA analysis to define system assembly process solutions.
•Support NPI CEM readiness, including DFX and process qualifications, and establish manufacturing specifications with CEM.
•Lead mechanical assembly process, fixture, and automation development, including assembly fixture/jig development and step-by-step evaluation and validation.
•Evaluate system assembly technical performance to meet specifications, including tolerance capability for assembly gap/step requirements.
•Handle NPI manufacturing assembly issues by investigating root causes, driving corrective actions, and recommending design/process/workspace changes to improve quality and efficiency.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mechanical, manufacturing, or related field (master’s preferred).
•5+ years of mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment (e.g., consumer electronics, GPU, automotive, server).
•Hands-on mechanical design and assembly experience, including system assembly, system testing, and tolerance capability with CAD tools such as Creo.
•Experience developing and validating automation lines, defining platform boundaries, and assessing alignment with automation strategy.
•Experience with functional tolerance and/or geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T), plus familiarity with electrical circuits, NPI, and testing/inspection methods.
