Key Responsibilities

  • •Own scheme economics and interpret scheme bulletins, operating regulations, and fee schedules, translating changes into clear financial, product, and operational requirements.
  • •Translate scheme rules into fee tables, eligibility criteria, and transaction-level logic, partnering with Product and Engineering to ensure accurate cost calculation, allocation, and customer billing across markets and payment flows.
  • •Establish governance, testing, and controls for scheme configurations; reconcile expected costs with actual network charges to identify anomalies and leakage and drive root-cause resolution.
  • •Develop granular visibility and models/analytics across markets, products, payment methods, and transaction types to understand unit economics, margin drivers, and cost movements.
  • •Identify, quantify, and execute opportunities to improve payment economics (e.g., transaction qualification and BIN routing) and provide recommendations for pricing, product design, and commercial strategy.

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years of relevant experience in payments, acquiring, issuing, card networks, payment infrastructure, or related roles (ideally with a global PSP, acquirer, scheme, issuer, or fintech).
  • •Deep knowledge of card payment economics, especially Visa and Mastercard interchange and scheme fees, transaction qualification, and network rules.
  • •Ability to operationalize complex payment rules into system logic, configurations, and controls.
  • •Experience with payment cost systems and controls, including interchange tables, scheme fee logic, BIN-based rules, and transaction attributes.
  • •Strong analytical and quantitative skills for working with transaction-level data, economic modeling, and reconciliation of expected vs. actual payment costs.
