Key Responsibilities

  • •Participate in all phases of fire protection project design and delivery, ensuring high-quality solutions from concept through construction and commissioning.
  • •Design and implement fire hydrant and hose reel systems, automatic fire sprinkler systems, alternative fire suppression systems, gas suppression, fire detection, and evacuation solutions in compliance with Australian Standards.
  • •Collaborate with engineers from multiple disciplines to develop integrated fire protection solutions for major clients on large, multi-disciplinary projects.
  • •Ensure designs meet the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards, local authority regulations, and major client standards and guidelines.
  • •Use wet and dry fire protection systems expertise to mentor junior engineers and drive technical excellence across a range of projects.

Key Requirements

  • •2+ years’ experience as a Fire Protection Engineer for an engineering consultancy (or contractor with extensive design experience), with Dry Fire experience highly regarded.
  • •Relevant degree and professional registrations (or eligible to hold), including a progression pathway to RPEQ.
  • •Understanding of fire suppression systems and design, including fire hydrants, hose reels, portable fire equipment, and fire water supply infrastructure.
  • •Understanding of fire detection and alarm systems, emergency warning and intercom systems, and high-level networking infrastructure.
  • •Track record in engineering design and consulting on medium to large scale projects across a variety of projects.
