Key Responsibilities

  • •Support the development of project proposals, defining requirements, scope, resourcing, programme, and budget for delivery.
  • •Create and maintain project documentation (project plans, cost forecasts, risk registers, schedules), taking ownership of smaller projects.
  • •Monitor progress and drive delivery against agreed timelines to keep projects on track.
  • •Manage project costs day-to-day, tracking time, budgets, forecasts, and spend to align with progress.
  • •Ensure health and safety requirements are in place for site visits and support contract management and administration.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager within a project or PMO environment in environmental or sustainability sectors.
  • •Understanding of programme management principles, including work breakdown structures, dependencies, and critical path, with experience using MS Project or Primavera P6.
  • •Commercial awareness to manage budgets, track performance, and support effective change control; familiarity with NEC3/4 is advantageous.
  • •Confident written and verbal communicator who keeps project teams and stakeholders well informed.
  • •Working towards or holding membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., PMI, APM, MIEnvSc, MIEMA, MRICS), with chartership welcomed.
