Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the design, build and maintenance of new customer facing web-features as well as the APIs and services backing them.
  • •Own and scale high-performance services on AWS that handle thousands of requests per second.
  • •Lead the architecture, maintenance and development of cloud-native data ingest and aggregation processes that intake gigabytes of data per day.
  • •Drive the team’s modernization towards a streaming architecture, setting technical direction and best practices.
  • •Mentor and grow engineers across the team, fostering technical excellence and collaboration.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven experience leading the design and implementation of cloud-native services-based systems in a major cloud provider like AWS or GCP.
  • •A strong track record of mentoring engineers, leading cross-team projects, and driving design and technology decisions at a senior or lead level.
  • •Ability to align technical execution with product and design partners, with a strong bias to ship and iterate.
  • •Deep experience with object-oriented programming languages; Java and TypeScript are used, but a variety of languages is appreciated.
  • •10+ years of experience working directly on complex backend and/or frontend systems and projects, including in leadership or lead engineer roles
