Key Responsibilities

•Lead the design, build and maintenance of new customer facing web-features as well as the APIs and services backing them.
•Own and scale high-performance services on AWS that handle thousands of requests per second.
•Lead the architecture, maintenance and development of cloud-native data ingest and aggregation processes that intake gigabytes of data per day.
•Drive the team’s modernization towards a streaming architecture, setting technical direction and best practices.
•Mentor and grow engineers across the team, fostering technical excellence and collaboration.

Key Requirements

•Proven experience leading the design and implementation of cloud-native services-based systems in a major cloud provider like AWS or GCP.
•A strong track record of mentoring engineers, leading cross-team projects, and driving design and technology decisions at a senior or lead level.
•Ability to align technical execution with product and design partners, with a strong bias to ship and iterate.
•Deep experience with object-oriented programming languages; Java and TypeScript are used, but a variety of languages is appreciated.
•10+ years of experience working directly on complex backend and/or frontend systems and projects, including in leadership or lead engineer roles
