Job Summary

Plan, design, and document complex well drilling programs while administering drilling and service contracts. Troubleshoot drilling technical issues, implement solutions to optimize performance and mitigate risk, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Prepare estimated drilling well costs and AFE generation, contribute to continuous improvement, and share technical knowledge. Supervise drilling personnel on site and mentor junior engineers and drilling staff, including supporting technology and process adoption.

Key Responsibilities

•Plan, design, and document complex well drilling programs and develop precise well designs.
•Administer drilling and service contracts, plan drilling operations, and supervise drilling personnel on site.
•Troubleshoot technical drilling issues and implement solutions to optimize performance and mitigate risk.
•Prepare estimated drilling well costs and AFE generation for exploratory, developmental, and remedial drilling activities.
•Contribute to continuous improvement, safety culture, and EHS compliance; mentor junior engineers and drilling personnel and support knowledge sharing.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical) or a related discipline, or commensurate work experience.
•5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in design and execution of horizontal wells or drilling operations.
•Experience performing drilling engineering work to develop well designs for drilling activities.
•Well control knowledge and ability to support safe, efficient, cost-effective well completion.
•Ability to mentor and provide technical assistance to drilling operations staff and junior engineers.
