Key Responsibilities

  • •Define and own the long-term technical strategy for iOS aligned to Trainline’s business goals and the wider architectural vision.
  • •Own and evolve iOS engineering standards, reusable patterns and best practices to improve developer experience and software quality.
  • •Lead organisation-wide technical modernisation programmes to simplify the engineering landscape and improve maintainability and scalability.
  • •Partner with principal engineers, architects and senior leaders to establish cross-platform strategy and decide where platforms remain distinct.
  • •Champion modular, testable and maintainable software design, evaluate emerging technologies, and mentor senior engineers in the Principal Engineering community.
