Job Summary

Ensure reliable, efficient operation of HelloFresh’s highly automated production facilities at the Barleben site near Magdeburg. Lead and develop a team of maintenance supervisors, automation engineers, and technicians to optimize maintenance strategies, minimize downtime, and improve equipment availability. Monitor KPIs, plan preventive/corrective maintenance, manage external providers, and commission new automation and production equipment while driving safety, food safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead, develop, and inspire maintenance supervisors, automation engineers, and technicians while fostering collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.
•Own equipment technical availability and reliability by continuously developing and optimizing the maintenance strategy to minimize downtime.
•Monitor and analyze KPIs (equipment availability, maintenance costs, technical efficiency) and drive improvement initiatives.
•Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure reliable, efficient, and cost-effective plant operations.
•Lead commissioning and implementation of new production equipment and automation solutions while ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable technical field.
•Several years of experience in maintenance or technical management in a manufacturing environment, ideally food, beverage, or FMCG.
•Proven leadership experience developing, coaching, and motivating high-performing teams.
•Strong expertise in maintenance management and maintaining/optimizing automated production systems.
•Experience with KPI management, project management, and implementing Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
