Key Responsibilities

  • •Travel to facilities/site locations within 60 miles of your residency to observe student performance.
  • •Establish and maintain a professional working relationship with the cooperating health care organization.
  • •Maintain effective communication with the student, cooperating preceptor/mentor, Office of Field Experience (OFE), and GCU Course Faculty.
  • •Provide additional information during contracted weeks via phone and email, and help collaboratively resolve difficulties.
  • •Maintain compliance with program accreditation requirements and support the university’s mission through required records, evaluations, and student encouragement.

  • •MSN Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP).
  • •Minimum of two years of professional experience in an ACNP or AGACNP role.
  • •Active, current, and unencumbered ACNP/AGACNP state license.
  • •Active, current, unencumbered, and multi-state (compact) RN license.
  • •National board certification specific to ACNP/AGACNP; successfully pass a drug test.
