Key Responsibilities

  • •Work closely with engineers, hydraulic modellers, environmental scientists, and technical specialists to deliver solutions for served communities.
  • •Conduct technical and feasibility studies for potable water, foul water, surface water, and attenuation needs, including detailed calculations.
  • •Contribute across design stages (feasibility, outline design, detailed design) and prepare reports and technical specifications.
  • •Perform numerical analyses to evaluate potable, surface, and wastewater systems.
  • •Design water infrastructure (treatment plants, pump systems, pipe networks) and support safety in design through Designer’s Risk Assessments, working with technicians to produce working drawings.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification, or demonstratable equivalent experience.
  • •Proven experience within the water sector working for a consultancy.
  • •Experience undertaking engineering assessments, options appraisals, engineering calculations, and/or economic appraisal.
  • •Working towards chartership or incorporated status with a relevant institution (e.g., ICE, CIWEM).
  • •Experience of outline and/or detailed design, preferably of wastewater/water treatment schemes and/or flood risk management or drainage schemes.
