Key Responsibilities

  • •Collect and interpret geological observations and samples to guide the mining effort.
  • •Organize, schedule, and prioritize daily work activities to complete projects and objectives.
  • •Conduct underground fieldwork such as mapping and sampling ore faces for assaying.
  • •Provide stope-scale structural understanding to predict geologic hazards in front of the current face.
  • •Participate in map meetings and level plan engineering meetings by supplying relevant geologic information, while following safety procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •Use established procedures to collect and interpret geological observations and samples.
  • •Provide geologic perspectives in level plan design meetings to optimize grade, extraction rate, and safety.
  • •Perform fieldwork including mapping and sampling ore faces for assaying.
  • •Work independently and identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • •Promote and personally observe safety procedures, including inspecting equipment and work areas before work starts.
