Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide the full breadth of personal financial counseling services to service members and families at assigned installations.
  • •Deliver education and counseling including one-on-one counseling, consultation with commander/other providers, briefings/presentations, and referrals outside counseling sessions.
  • •Assist service members in establishing spending plans for extended absences.
  • •Develop and provide informational financial materials and coordinate/publicize personal financial management classes/workshops across the military lifecycle.
  • •Communicate with leadership, participate in supervision and training/quality-improvement activities, and manage duty-to-warn situations per DoD protocol.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 58,440 - 93,500 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree required (associate degree plus 4 years experience, or high school diploma plus 6 years experience, may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's).
  • •3+ years of financial counseling experience.
  • •Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
  • •Must have one of: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
  • •Obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation and pass the OCI process.
