Applied Scientist, Search & Matching

Help power Thumbtack’s search, ranking, and matching by building and deploying machine learning systems in production. You’ll initiate applied science projects, architect algorithms for customer-to-service-provider fit, and run experiments to analyze structured and unstructured data. Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and economists, balancing scientific rigor with business impact while providing technical mentorship within a small product team.
