Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage 24/7 operations for finishing and packing crews in the assigned area and participate in projects across other areas.
  • •Drive Environmental, Health, and Safety results while ensuring consistent implementation and execution of policies and systems to meet internal/external customer expectations with safety first.
  • •Lead performance toward area objectives, including annual development of area objectives and participation in departmental A3 setting, execution, and 30-60-90 day plans.
  • •Develop, implement, and maintain daily management systems and plan and execute TPM activities.
  • •Plan and sometimes lead Kaizens, TPM, and safety events; coach and counsel front-line supervisors and other staff personnel in the Pack Ship area or as assigned.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment, with responsibility for labor issues (preferably in a union environment).
  • •Proven ability to lead a team to success with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • •Hands-on experience in Lean Manufacturing; ISO and Six Sigma experience is a plus.
  • •Working knowledge of flat-rolled sheet finishing processes (e.g., reverse roll coating/painting, slitting, electro-coating/electro-plating, material handling, and packaging equipment).
  • •BS degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Business, or another 4-year technical degree (EET or MET highly preferred).
