Job Summary

Design and deliver forecasting, planning, and performance-management models for Xero’s Finance G&A Data & Analytics team. Embed analytics into core business rhythms such as Central dashboards, MBR, and QBR cycles, and partner with G&A leaders to turn ambiguous questions into clear analytical problems. Build hands-on solutions in a small team, mentor data scientists/analysts, and help advance an agent-first, self-serve approach using SQL, Python (or R), and Tableau with Snowflake, dbt, and Airflow.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and deliver models, analytics, and insight frameworks that help Finance and Corporate (G&A) teams make faster, better decisions.
•Lead work on forecasting, planning, and performance management, embedding models into Central dashboards, MBR, and QBR cycles.
•Conduct revenue and cost forecasting with scenario analysis linked to GTM and Product data.
•Optimize operating expenses across areas such as vendor, cloud, travel, and property spend.
•Mentor analysts and data scientists across G&A, and help mature the functional data model for G&A in an agent-first, self-serve environment.

Key Requirements

•Strong SQL skills for extracting, wrangling, and analyzing large, complex datasets.
•Solid Python or R experience across the full data science workflow, including data wrangling, feature engineering, and model deployment.
•Strong statistical and machine learning foundation, including time-series forecasting, regression, classification, and causal inference.
•Comfortable using Tableau to communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders.
•Ability to frame ambiguous business problems into analytical hypotheses with an approach and success metrics.
