Job Summary

Serve as a customer-facing application engineer and technical expert for custom IC design and implementation. Present and demonstrate Cadence solutions, guide customer teams through simulation, layout, and electromagnetic/EM analysis flows, and resolve tool issues impacting timelines. Collaborate with R&D, Product Engineering, and Sales to drive adoption, benchmarks, heterogeneous integration, and customer success, while supporting evaluations, training, and sales opportunity development.

Key Responsibilities

•Understand customers’ custom IC design, simulation, layout, and electromagnetic analysis challenges.
•Guide customer design teams on methodologies and flows to improve productivity and design quality.
•Resolve critical tool issues impacting customer project timelines in collaboration with product development and peer AEs.
•Support customers’ custom design, simulation, layout, and EM analysis flows across RFIC/RF module/multichip module projects.
•Conduct technical presentations, training, and product demonstrations, and partner with Sales to identify opportunities and develop winning strategies.

Key Requirements

•7+ years of practical, hands-on experience in simulation and/or layout applications for custom IC design (analog, mixed-signal, RF design/layout is a plus).
•Experience with electromagnetic solvers and EM analysis for custom IC and advanced packaging is a plus.
•BS/MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience.
•Strong problem-solving, communication, organizational, planning, and presentation skills.
•Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively; some travel and a valid driver’s license are required.
