Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead technical strategy on time-boxed engagements (typically one to five months) to accelerate customer workloads from evaluation to production.
  • •Own the architecture conversation: design scalable, production-grade solutions and run whiteboarding, design reviews, and trade-off decisions.
  • •Win technical decisions by demonstrating Databricks differentiation through custom-built solutions in competitive, must-win scenarios.
  • •Establish momentum quickly in ambiguous situations and compress timelines while maintaining quality.
  • •Package progress into a clean handoff to core SAs, DSAs, specialists, or partners so adoption continues after the engagement.

Key Requirements

  • •Typically 6+ years in solutions architecture, data engineering, technical pre-sales, or an equivalent senior hands-on technical role.
  • •Hands-on coding ability in Python and SQL to build, debug, and demonstrate working solutions live.
  • •Depth in distributed data systems and production cloud deployments on AWS, Azure, or GCP, including scalable pipelines, streaming, and lakehouse patterns with infrastructure/security/governance.
  • •Proficiency on the Databricks Platform or demonstrated ability to ramp quickly on new technologies, including areas like real-time/streaming, ML/AI, data governance, or migrations.
  • •Experience leading architecture discussions, design reviews, and trade-off analysis with senior technical stakeholders and translating architecture into business value.
