Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws and company safety regulations.
  • •Transport loads safely and on time along required routes while obeying traffic laws.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading goods and materials using specialized equipment; return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain delivery documentation (invoices, shipping bills of lading, required paperwork) and perform routine service checks, reporting maintenance issues to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold either a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license appropriate for the vehicle weight operated.
  • •Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state DOT regulations.
  • •Must pass a DOT physical; trucks driven are over 10k lbs.
  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • •Must meet physical requirements including prolonged sitting and the ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds.
