Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate and maintain survey instruments including Total Station, level, and GPS.
  • •Perform property surveys, topographic surveys and mapping, construction stakeout and other survey projects for private, government and commercial clients.
  • •Read and interpret survey notes, sketches, maps, deeds, as-builts, construction plans and drawings.
  • •Use conventional, GPS/GNSS and laser scanning equipment to perform field survey procedures.
  • •Take daily survey field notes, sketches, and records; perform QA/QC to verify data meets project requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's Degree plus 4 years of relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education (i.e. Associate's Degree plus 6 years of experience or High School diploma or equivalent and 8 years of experience)
  • •Valid Driver’s License required to regularly drive AECOM vehicles to project sites, and as a condition of employment must pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records Review
  • •Willingness to travel up to 70% for up to 3-10 days at a time
  • •4 years of site surveying with railroad and/or DOT knowledge or experience a plus
  • •Experience supervising site survey teams
