Job Summary

Partner with the Head of People as the inaugural HR Business Partner for a growing, remote-first organization. Own employee relations and manager support, coach leaders through performance and complex workplace scenarios, and advise on people-related risks and trade-offs. Drive scalable people practices across performance management, compensation cycles, offboarding, and HR process/tool improvements while ensuring compliant, legally sound practices. Occasional travel for offsites as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations, including performance concerns, interpersonal issues, investigations, and complex workplace scenarios.
•Coach managers on difficult conversations, feedback delivery, performance management, and documentation; provide legally sound guidance across employee lifecycle moments.
•Advise leaders on people-related risks and trade-offs, and translate company strategy into scaled people practices.
•Support performance management processes, manager capability building, team structure, talent and succession planning, and underperformance/role clarity challenges.
•Partner cross-functionally to refine HR processes and ensure compliance (including leave administration and work authorization coordination).

Travel: Low travel

Salary: USD 130,000 - 185,000 annually

Key Requirements

•7–10+ years of HR experience, including at least 5 years as an HR Business Partner in high-growth or complex environments.
•Strong business judgment to understand context quickly and guide leaders through tough trade-offs.
•Deep experience in employee relations, performance management, and manager coaching.
•Comfort working in a fast-paced, remote-first environment with shifting priorities.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills and a high degree of discretion.
