Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct virtual video and phone consultations to assess and manage CKD, hypertension, electrolyte disorders, proteinuria, haematuria, nephrolithiasis, and post-AKI follow-up.
  • •Review laboratory results and imaging remotely and adjust management plans, identifying red flags that require urgent in-person assessment or hospital referral.
  • •Develop and document individualized treatment and monitoring plans in collaboration with consultants, and arrange virtual follow-ups and care coordination with primary providers.
  • •Provide virtual counselling on lifestyle modification, diet, fluid balance, and medication adherence, including support for anaemia of CKD, CKD-MBD, and blood pressure management.
  • •Adhere to nephrology clinical guidelines and telemedicine regulations, monitor patient safety, participate in audits/quality improvement, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams via telehealth.

Key Requirements

  • •Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
  • •Completion of Internal Medicine residency from an accredited program.
  • •Nephrology training/fellowship (in progress or completed).
  • •SCFHS classification and registration as Registrar – Nephrology.
  • •Strong clinical judgment with expertise in CKD and renal pharmacology, and proficiency in EMR systems and telehealth platforms.
