Job Summary

Lead the design and delivery of enterprise-grade agentic-first capabilities in Nexus Repository Manager. Own architecture for major product areas, orchestrating fleets of long-running multi-agent workflows across decomposition, orchestration, implementation, testing, and review. Define evaluation, guardrails, and review rituals so teams can ship confidently with verification-first engineering. Partner across Product, Security Research, UX, and Support while mentoring Senior engineers and setting staff-level engineering practice.

Key Responsibilities

•Drive technical design of agentic-first subsystems, including service architecture, data models, and agent/tool integrations, using long-running multi-agent workflows.
•Own a product area from ambiguous problem statements through technical design, multi-team execution, rollout, and long-term operability.
•Define verification-first practices for shipping confidently, including evals, harnesses, guardrails, observability, and review rituals.
•Set the engineering practice for working with agents by shaping internal playbooks/tooling/rituals and training/mentoring Senior engineers.
•Own non-functional requirements for performance, reliability, and security, with focus on software supply chain threats and reliability at scale.

Key Requirements

•7+ years of professional software development with a track record leading multi-quarter technical initiatives across teams or services.
•Hands-on experience designing, running, and scaling multi-agent systems, including orchestration, shared context/memory, agent handoffs, and eval harnesses.
•Strong Java experience plus cloud development with AWS, Azure, or GCP, and large-scale distributed systems (performance tuning and production operability).
•Working knowledge of software supply chain security, including SBOM formats (CycloneDX, SPDX), SCA, SLSA provenance, signing (Sigstore/cosign), and vulnerability analysis (OSV, NVD).
•Verification-first mindset: define evals, test harnesses, observability, and review workflows so teams can ship code no one typed directly.
