The Commis I will support kitchen operations by assisting in food preparation and cooking tasks, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, and contributing to the culinary team’s success. Key Responsibilities

•Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, portioning meats, and measuring ingredients.
•Execute cooking tasks under the supervision of senior chefs, including grilling, frying, sautéing, and baking, while monitoring temperatures and times.
•Follow recipes and instructions to ensure consistency and quality in food preparation.
•Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas and equipment, and assist with stock rotation and inventory management to minimize waste.
•Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow, effective communication, and timely order execution.

Key Requirements

•Fundamental cooking methods understanding (grilling, sautéing, frying, baking, roasting).
•Knowledge of food safety principles including proper handling, storage and temperature control.
•Familiarity with a variety of ingredients and their preparation techniques.
•Ability to follow recipes and plating standards to ensure consistent quality and presentation.
•Minimum 2-3 years of working experience; GCC experience is a plus.
