Job Summary

Operate additive manufacturing and downstream equipment to support efficient, safe production, including sending files to AM equipment, post-processing parts, troubleshooting failures, and performing preventative maintenance. Generate and optimize STL files using slicing software, support high-resolution finishes and color matching, and manage jobs with internal/external service bureaus. Use SolidWorks CAD to prepare 3D models and support shipping to domestic and international customers.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate and efficiently run additive manufacturing equipment and downstream processes.
•Post-process parts correctly based on the AM equipment and material used.
•Assist the AM lead tech with preventative maintenance of AM equipment.
•Troubleshoot failed equipment and repair internally or request an OEM technician when needed.
•Maintain clean and safe AM operations, optimize STL files for 3D builds, and support internal/external shipping of models.

Key Requirements

•AS/BS degree in an AM technology, product design, or engineering related field, or equivalent additive manufacturing experience.
•1-3 years experience directly in or adjacent to the AM industry creating digitally printed packaging, components, and systems.
•Knowledge of multiple AM technologies and materials (SLA, MSLA, DLP, SLS, FFF, DMLS).
•Ability to solve problems with a technical background and basic understanding of conventional packaging manufacturing and downstream equipment.
•Basic 3D computer modeling skills, preferably SolidWorks; mold design and machining experience is a plus.
