Job Summary

Seeking a Project Controls Manager to support Defence projects across London and the south of England. You will lead the programme controls function, ensuring accurate plans, cost tracking, safety and environmental reporting, and performance management. You’ll coordinate controls resources, review new project proposals to create realistic, resourced delivery plans, and maintain data standards across planning, cost and performance systems.

Key Responsibilities

•Deliver project controls expertise across Defence projects in London and the south of England and lead the programme controls function, monitoring the accuracy and consistency of plans, cost, safety, environment and performance reporting, and deploying controls resources to best effect
•Review new project proposals/remits to develop realistic, resourceable plans for delivery of the programme
•Identify resourcing requirements to support the programme and liaise with planning functions to resolve resourcing issues
•Provide an efficient day-to-day service to the Programme and Project Managers in reporting on plans, costs, safety, environment and programme performance
•Monitor data input by project teams to cost and performance systems to meet required data standards and manage the Investment Plan in compliance with the Investment Competence Framework

Key Requirements

•Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, which include schedule development, control, and analysis, in the field and the home office
•Proficiency with PC operating systems, with proficiency in several basic software applications
•Proficiency with multiple discipline specific software applications such as Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Office Applications, for example Intermediate level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start-up work processes
•Knowledge of engineering and construction management
•Ideally hold security clearance or be able to obtain and maintain security clearance
