Job Summary

Program, operate, and maintain laboratory liquid handling platforms and integrated workcells that support protein production, analytical, and next-generation sequencing workflows. Translate established protocols into automated methods, monitor runs, troubleshoot equipment and workflows, perform preventive maintenance and calibration, coordinate service with manufacturers, and maintain documentation. Support sample tracking and data transfer to LIMS/ELN and train scientists and operators who use the automation systems.

Key Responsibilities

•Program, modify, test, and operate liquid handling methods, including preparing labware/reagents and monitoring automated runs.
•Maintain laboratory instruments and integrated workcells with routine and preventive maintenance, calibration checks, light repairs, and structured troubleshooting.
•Operate integrated automation systems (liquid handlers, plate storage/transport, analytical instruments, scheduling software) and maintain SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and maintenance records.
•Support sample tracking, run documentation, and data transfer to LIMS, ELN, and downstream systems.
•Train and support scientists and operators using the automation equipment, while coordinating service/repair with manufacturers when needed.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 64 - 74 hourly

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry, or related field (or equivalent relevant industry experience).
•At least 1 year of industry experience working with automated liquid handling systems in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, or life sciences.
•Demonstrated experience programming and troubleshooting automated liquid handlers.
•Basic programming or scripting experience in Python, C#, or another language used for lab automation and instrument integration.
•Working knowledge of molecular biology and analytical lab techniques, including PCR, gel electrophoresis, plate-reader assays, or HPLC.
