Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the initial platform deployment into the government IL-5 environment, including deployment planning and tracking government-side prerequisites.
  • •Own the CI/CD pipeline end to end (build/test, static/dynamic security analysis, software composition analysis, container/IaC scanning, SBOM generation, and gated production promotion).
  • •Establish and operate development, test, and production environments in AWS GovCloud at IL-5.
  • •Make architecture calls across account/boundary structure, network path, identity integration, container strategy, hardened base images, and zero-downtime/rollback approach.
  • •Direct a small group of platform/cloud/DevOps engineers and serve as the engineering counterpart to customer security/accreditation staff to support authorization decisions.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of DevOps and DevSecOps engineering experience, including owning at least one production pipeline end to end at scale.
  • •3+ years working in DoW or federal cloud environments at IL-4 or IL-5 (AWS GovCloud strongly preferred).
  • •Hands-on role while leading: you make the architecture calls and build; not a coordination or oversight function.
  • •Deep expertise in containers/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes or equivalent), infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation or similar), and CI/CD tooling.
  • •Security built into delivery, including security scanning/compliance/evidence generation and direct experience supporting an ATO/cATO authorization pathway (with a US Secret clearance).
