Job Summary

Lead prototype design and development for integrated radar subsystems, including hands-on mechanical assembly and integration of hardware and electrical components into higher-level assemblies. Own testing and validation of prototype hardware by developing test plans, running tests and offsite demos, and analyzing results. Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineers, manage and track top-level technical requirements, support proposal/CRAD efforts, and meet cost, schedule, quality, and performance targets while traveling between RTX facilities.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee the design and development of integrated radar subsystems prototypes to meet customer requirements.
•Work hands-on on mechanical assembly, integrating hardware and electrical components into higher-level assemblies.
•Own testing and validation of prototype hardware, including developing test plans and analyzing results from RTX facilities and offsite demos.
•Manage and document top-level technical requirements and track lower-level subsystem requirements.
•Support CRAD/proposal capture by developing white papers and proposal technical volumes, and perform technical project management to address potential issues.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience (or an advanced degree with minimum 7 years).

•Hands-on experience with innovative mechanical design, troubleshooting, and prototype build/assembly.
•Experience with IRAD development in a collaborative environment.
•Experience with electronic packaging.
