Job Summary

Assist in overseeing and directing day-to-day operations and maintenance for utility and energy assets at Stellantis’ Sterling Heights Stamping Plant central utility complex. Help maintain safety and environmental compliance while supervising a unionized hourly workforce. Support operating philosophies, maximize availability and efficiency, manage predictive/preventive maintenance in the maintenance system, investigate abnormalities and outages, and assist with outage project planning and budget evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure site safety and environmental requirements are followed, including hazard identification and corrective actions.
•Supervise and direct daily activities of plant personnel, including an hourly unionized workforce.
•Develop, implement, and manage plant operating philosophies and best practices to maximize availability, efficiency, and productivity.
•Establish, review, and modify predictive/preventive maintenance requirements in the maintenance management system aligned with maintenance strategy.
•Investigate operating abnormalities and forced outages, prepare plant operation reports, and assist with maintenance engineering evaluations and troubleshooting.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED.
•At least 8 years of supervisory or managerial experience in a cogeneration power plant with a represented (union) workforce.
•Thorough understanding of plant operations and maintenance, including generating equipment, boilers, and water treatment processes.
•Proven planning and scheduling experience supporting O&M personnel for preventative/predictive maintenance and corrective maintenance.
•Ability to work shifts and extra/irregular hours, including passing respirator fit tests to use required respiratory protection.
