Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure site safety and environmental requirements are followed, including hazard identification and corrective actions.
  • •Supervise and direct daily activities of plant personnel, including an hourly unionized workforce.
  • •Develop, implement, and manage plant operating philosophies and best practices to maximize availability, efficiency, and productivity.
  • •Establish, review, and modify predictive/preventive maintenance requirements in the maintenance management system aligned with maintenance strategy.
  • •Investigate operating abnormalities and forced outages, prepare plant operation reports, and assist with maintenance engineering evaluations and troubleshooting.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED.
  • •At least 8 years of supervisory or managerial experience in a cogeneration power plant with a represented (union) workforce.
  • •Thorough understanding of plant operations and maintenance, including generating equipment, boilers, and water treatment processes.
  • •Proven planning and scheduling experience supporting O&M personnel for preventative/predictive maintenance and corrective maintenance.
  • •Ability to work shifts and extra/irregular hours, including passing respirator fit tests to use required respiratory protection.
