Key Responsibilities

•Partner with Account Executives to position Mapbox’s technical value and shape opportunities.
•Lead technical discovery to understand customer goals, requirements, and success criteria, and ensure solution designs meet business objectives.
•Design and present scalable architectures using Mapbox SDKs, APIs, and platform services.
•Build and deliver proof-of-concept solutions that demonstrate measurable customer value.
•Apply expertise in GIS, spatial data, and location intelligence to solve customer problems.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•8+ years in solutions architecture, customer-facing engineering (pre-sales, post-sales), or consulting
•Fluent in English and Chinese, both written and verbal communication
•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
•Proven experience with GIS, location intelligence, and geospatial data (e.g., spatial databases, vector and raster data, geocoding, routing, map rendering)
•Proficiency in web and mobile technologies (Required: JavaScript; Highly desirable: Swift, Kotlin, Python; Desirable: React Native, Flutter)
