Job Summary

Lead battery and regulated materials compliance for a humanoid robot platform by interpreting global regulations and driving worldwide certification programs. Own certification testing and issue resolution, translate regulatory requirements into engineering/manufacturing/supply-chain requirements, and maintain compliance documentation, labeling, and evidence packages. Partner with hardware, reliability, manufacturing, certification labs, notified bodies, and regulatory agencies to support safe product launches and market access.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and execute global certification strategies for battery systems and regulated materials to support product launch timelines.
•Translate regulatory requirements into actionable engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain requirements.
•Lead pre-certification and formal certification testing activities, including issue resolution and corrective actions.
•Own compliance documentation, labeling requirements, test reports, and certification evidence packages.
•Build and maintain relationships with certification labs, notified bodies, and regulatory agencies.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of experience in battery compliance, materials compliance, or product certification engineering.
•Hands-on experience with UL certification processes and related battery safety standards.
•Direct experience with standards including UN 38.3, UL 1642, UL 2054, IEC 62133-2:2017, and ANSI/NEMA C18.
•Strong working knowledge of global materials regulations including RoHS, REACH, WEEE, Conflict Minerals, and California Prop 65.
•Experience managing certification testing programs, compliance documentation, and external certification partners.
