Job Summary

Set up and operate blending compounding equipment to prepare consistent formulations for extruders, while maintaining accurate blend inventory. You’ll follow safety procedures, inspect mixer systems, verify and adjust weigh scales, recognize and weigh ingredients, and move raw materials (including forklift operation). The role also includes stocking materials, completing required paperwork, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting maintenance with repairs as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Use safe working practices and wear proper protective equipment while operating in the compounding operation.
•Set up mixer/conveying system, connect equipment to the proper input, and pump to the correct silo to produce compound for production.
•Periodically check and zero weigh scales; recognize ingredients visually and weigh materials accurately to required formulations and proper order.
•Handle raw materials and supply the blender using bucket-weighed materials; operate a forklift in tight areas and stock materials per operating policy.
•Perform routine inspections, write work orders for repairs, maintain blend levels, complete paperwork, and keep the work area neat and clean.

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
•Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

•Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
•Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
