Job Summary

Build and scale the backend systems powering BJAK’s AI Neobank app, including reliable APIs and workflows for onboarding, accounts, payments, cards, transfers, rewards, travel, FX, KYC, and risk flows. Own system reliability, security, latency, observability, data integrity, and incident handling. Partner with product, frontend, mobile, and AI teams to launch features quickly and safely, and improve existing flows through automation.

Key Responsibilities

•Build backend services and APIs for onboarding, accounts, payments, cards, transfers, rewards, travel, FX, KYC, and risk flows.
•Design reliable backend systems supporting real customer transactions, operational workflows, and future financial products.
•Integrate with internal systems, financial partners, payment providers, AI services, and third-party platforms.
•Own backend quality including reliability, security, latency, observability, data integrity, and incident handling.
•Collaborate with product, frontend, mobile, and AI teams to launch features quickly and safely; improve systems by simplifying flows and automating repeatable processes.

Key Requirements

•Strong backend engineering experience in production systems.
•Hands-on understanding of APIs, databases, authentication, authorization, queues, jobs, events, and integrations.
•Experience building services used by real customers or internal operations at meaningful scale.
•A mindset focused on debugging, reliability, security, and data quality.
•Ability to make practical trade-offs between speed, correctness, scalability, and maintainability.
