Job Summary

Senior role to integrate and maintain hardware and software systems that enable QuEra’s quantum control stack. You’ll work with software engineers, physicists, and hardware teams to install, upgrade, test, and troubleshoot control systems, define procedures for quantum computer operations, and contribute to DevOps, observability, and reliability across development and production environments.

Key Responsibilities

•Implement, maintain and test software and hardware in a heterogeneous system that controls disparate computer system devices.
•Define, document, implement and test procedures for QuEra’s Quantum computer operations.
•Propose, and/or implement automation provisioning, configuration, and orchestration of local and remote compute systems used in controlling and testing the quantum computer stack.
•Manage science, development and testing infrastructure, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) setups, containerized services (K8S), routers, switches, and test systems.
•Collaborate with software and test engineering teams to ensure smooth integration/deployment of DevOps tools with custom hardware and quantum-specific workflows.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
•Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go, and familiarity with Docker, Git, and Kubernetes
•Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins) and infrastructure‑as‑code platforms (e.g., Ansible, Terraform)
•Practical implementation of LAN and WAN technologies (VLAN configuration, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP) and strong Linux administration experience (Ubuntu, Debian, RedHat)
•Experience with Linux administration and networking operations
