Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, brake/cooling, engine electronics, diesel steering, transmissions, clutches, differentials, and related systems using test instruments and road tests.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation and obtaining parts from approved vendors.
  • •Maintain and operate the service truck safely, including safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections; document work and upload photos via Repair Orders (RO) using a company-issued iOS device and the TRAIT application.
  • •Complete DOT forms and other required documentation on time and communicate with management/support for approvals, purchase order numbers, and RO findings notes, while complying with OSHA/EPA/DOT regulations.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years of related experience (or an equivalent combination, such as additional certification/degree or 5 years related experience).
  • •Must be able to successfully complete and pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and a DOT physical prior to employment.
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
  • •Hold a current Class C License, plus a current DOT medical card (or be able to complete a DOT physical if needed).
  • •Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within eighteen (18) months.
