Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the data platform architecture and technical direction, treating data infrastructure as a reusable software product and making build-vs-buy decisions.
  • •Build and operate the ingestion layer across streaming, batch, CDC, and third-party connectors with safe schema evolution.
  • •Land data into Snowflake with predictable freshness, completeness, and cost characteristics, and define a clear handoff for analytics engineering.
  • •Own orchestration across the full data graph (scheduling, retries, backfills, dependency management).
  • •Build transformation/compute frameworks, self-serve tooling, and stream processing infrastructure, plus trust layers (quality, observability, lineage, cataloging) and PII/data residency patterns.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years building and operating production data infrastructure with ownership of systems other teams depend on.
  • •Deep experience with cloud data warehouses, with Snowflake strongly preferred and strong performance/cost management.
  • •Hands-on experience building CDC and streaming pipelines (e.g., Kafka, Debezium, Flink, Spark Streaming).
  • •Strong fluency with workflow orchestration platforms operated at scale (e.g., Temporal, Airflow, Dagster).
  • •Strong programming skills in Python and advanced SQL, plus experience with data quality/observability/lineage and schema evolution.
